And What Shall I Call It?

I was thinking about writing a book.

No, let me be clear: I’ve wanted to write a book for the last 25 years, but my insecurities have kept me stuck on page 1.

Being 50+ is an entirely new place in life. It’s full of ‘I-don’t-give-a-damn’ thinking, so honesty is the only policy. Alice Walker once said that you can never be a great author unless you can be honest. I totally understand.

That’s the cool part about being creative: it does not stop with one medium. I create great meals, decorate my home like a professional, buy all the new, cool stuff from online art stores, and am totally a victim of ADD! I really don’t think there’s anything I can’t do, but God knows I need focus! I realize that I am here to bring beauty and life to the world, whether it’s through the written or spoken word, or on canvas or graphically correct.

This (being a creative soul) is the hardest and most rewarding job I’ve ever had!
